Pure Life

Pura Vida Bracelets: http://puravidabracelets.com/

"The phrase “Pura Vida” (pu·ra vi·da) means "pure life" in Spanish. Enjoying life slowly, celebrating good fortune and not taking anything for granted embodies the Pura Vida Lifestyle. It's about being free and living life to it's fullest with no regrets or taking anything for granted; it's an attitude."

Pura Vida bracelets are a great way to give to charities you are interested in and get educated about charities you didn't even know had a foundation. Check out there website and give back!

There Cause:
Here at Pura Vida Bracelets we aim to do more than just provide jobs for artisans in Costa Rica. That is how the Charity Collection was born. The Charity Collection was created to give back to charities all over the world through the sale of individual charity bracelets. In 2013 we were able to donate over $140,000 to 190+ charity organizations and we’ve only grown since then. On top of that, we’re a 1% for the Planet Member donating back to over forty 1% for the Planet non-profit partners through our Enviro-Causes Charity Collection. From the protection of our ocean habitats to cancer research, we try to support as many causes and organizations as possible.

Everyone Has A Story

"I was in and out of foster homes until I was 15. That's when I ran away and I've been doing this ever since."

"We dream of buying a car and going to New Orleans."

"I tagged a cock-lobster once."

"I have sort of a cosmic love with my dog."

"What do you remember most about Vietnam"
"That I came home. I survived. Without any wounds."

Wholeness

"I actually attack the concept of happiness. The idea that - I don't mind people being happy - but the idea that everything we do is part of the pursuit of happiness seem to me a really dangerous idea and had led to a contemporary disease in Western society, which is fear of sadness. It's a really odd thing that we're now seeing people saying 'write down 3 things that made you happy today before you go to sleep' and 'cheer up' and 'happiness is out birthright' and so on. We're kind of teaching out kids that happiness is the default position. It's rubbish. Wholeness is what we ought to be striving for and part of that is sadness, disappointment, frustration, and failure; all of those things which make us who we are. Happiness and victory and fulfillment are nice little things that also happen to us, but they don't teach us much. Everyone says we grown through pain and then as soon as we experience pain they say 'Quick! Move on! Cheer up!' I'd like just for a year, to have a moratorium on the word 'Wholeness.' Ask yourself, 'is this contributing to my wholeness?' and if you're having a bad day, it is."
